Avo is a passion project that took over a year to develop. Its mission is to make it easy for developers and teams to build admin panels for their apps and let them focus their time and attention on more significant areas of their projects and not boilerplate code.
The workload needed to maintain and add new features is relatively high. We can't support that without having some commercial offering. That's why we have the Pro version to support us financially.
Apart from that 👆, we believe that more developers and teams should benefit from what Avo brings to the Rails ecosystem. This is where the Community version kicks in. It features all the built-in fields, the entire CRUD interface, Grid view, Filters, and Actions.
That's why, from today, the Community version is free to use for commercial projects. When you need more robust features, you can upgrade to the Pro license and help us maintain Avo in the future.
